The person in this position is responsible for the execution of plant objectives including financial, safety, associate development, quality, and customer service. This is accomplished through the leadership, guidance and coaching given to 15-30 full-time and temporary hourly associate in the production, warehousing, distribution, and/or field operations. This position has considerable impact upon the plant's contribution to the Growing Media division's overall performance and customer relations. KEY WORK PERFORMED: Supervises a workforce compromised of 15-30 hourly full-time and temporary associates performing activities in one or more of the following are: production, equipment maintenance, building and grounds maintenance, warehouse, distribution, and/or field operations. Assigns work and monitors progress, orients and trains associates, interviews and recommends hiring of applicants, evaluates associate work performance, counsels associates and/or implements disciplinary action, and establishes associate work schedules. Execution and enforcement of government, company and/or plant laws, procedures, and/or policies. Plans, coordinates, and supervises work activities and operations related to area(s) of responsibility; ensures quality and quantity standards are achieved in a cost effective and efficient manner; ensures availability of materials and supplies; identifies problems and initiates or recommends corrective action. Communicates, implements, and monitors safety programs and procedures, participates in and leads safety meetings; ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment; identifies safety improvements; leads and enforces housekeeping standards. Fosters a team environment by promoting open channels of communication, building commitment to a common vision and establishing and maintaining positive communication with associates; implementing proactive measures to ensure positive associate relations to maintain a union-free environment. Prepares and/or maintains various logs, records and reports, such as production, maintenance, inventory, etc.; may purchase supplies, parts and/or equipment; may assist in developing and monitoring the budget. As needed, operates equipment and performs duties related to the success operation of the department. Assists other supervisors and/or Plant Manager in directing the overall operation of the plant, performing special projects as needed. Responsible for plant productivity, including involvement in goal setting for the plant, and execution of plant production goals. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements A. Education: College degree in business management, operations management, supply chain management or related field preferred. B.
Experience: Two to five years overall manufacturing experience. Experience in a supervisory or lead role is highly desired, specifically experience in associate development and safety. Experience in one or more of the following functional areas is required: manufacturing, distribution, raw materials purchasing, inventory planning controls management, sales and customer service. C. Knowledge: Working knowledge of all facets of manufacturing including continuous improvement, team building, safety, associate relations, quality, and customer service. D. Skills and Abilities: Good oral and written communication skills and strong leadership skills are required. Must have strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively multi-task, problem solve in a fast paced environment and the ability to manage, motivate and train others to achieve required goals. Strong computer skills are required. Must be able to read, write and speak in English. Spanish fluency is preferred. Job: OperationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
